Easter Encouragement
Because He Has Risen – Dr. Ouida J. Oliphant
At Easter time we remember the Children’s Programs. Their presentation usually began or ended with “He is Risen”. What they declared was a victory shout that Jesus broke through the boundary and limitations of the world. Creation was designed to bondage and decay with humanity subjected to death. Jesus broke through the barrier by championing over death and the grave. After his resurrection as he was about to ascend back to heaven, he exclaimed that “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me” (Matthew 28:18). Because he has power over this world, he is the victor. Further all who believe in him can be triumphant. The Scripture says “We are more than conquerors through him who loves us (Romans 8:37).
We may miss these Children’s renditions this year recalling the child who rehearsed his/her part and spoke it perfectly; or the little one who also rehearsed his/her part but could not remember the first word. Yet they were so cute and a tremendous blessing. The children mostly ended their programs with “HE HAS RISEN” in happy exclamations! Jesus was victorious and we too can be victorious if we trust in him to reign over our lives and our every battle that we face.

Reflection: (This week, meditate on the question below).
In Judges Chapter 7 we learn that Gideon needed constant reassurance that God had his best interest. How do we exercise our faith while waiting on God to intercede on our behalf?
Stay prayerful and read the following daily:
Psalm 91
2 Chronicles 7:14
2 Timothy 1:7
Philippians 4:6-7
