ANNOUNCEMENTS<\/strong>
Memorial Day is Monday, May 27th.<\/strong> It is a federal holiday in the United States for honoring and mourning the U.S. military personnel who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. From 1868 to 1970, it was observed on May 30. Since 1971, it is observed on the last Monday of May.
We honor our loved ones and friends that have served in the Armed Forces.

The New Member Support Group will host a fellowship dinner today, Sunday, May 26Th.<\/strong> Join us for dinner, fun, and fellowship! We will honor our newest members who have completed the New Member’s (NM) Classes. Registration is required. See Rev. Evelyn Tolliver for additional information.<\/p>\n\n\n

Mother of the Year<\/strong>
Sunday, May 12th, The Langley Men’s Group presented Genette Hardemon with an engraved candle holder and A. Dean, her daughter presented a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Congratulations, Genette, for exhibiting the qualities of a virtuous woman and a loving mother that enjoys praising the Lord. May the Lord continue to richly bless you.

Mental Health Awareness Month<\/strong> has been observed in May in the United States since 1949. The month is observed with media, local events, and film screenings. For more information, visit Mental Health America website<\/a>.

Save the Date<\/strong>
Celebrate Women’s Day on Sunday, June 2, 2024. <\/strong>Langley Women’s Ministry will celebrate this day during the 11 a.m. worship service. Join us as we honor Christian women that have made a difference in the lives of others. The speaker will be Min. Priscilla Williams<\/a>, Theme: Virtuous Women: Laborers for the Kingdom, Titus 2:1,3-5, 7 and 12. A special presentation, a group photo and fellowship will be held after the worship service in the lower level. You don’t want to miss this time of celebration!

Langley Avenue Usher’s Day<\/strong> is Sunday, June 23, 2024.<\/strong> Plan to join us during the 11 a.m. worship service. The speaker will be Rev. Dr. Roberetta Young. We look forward to seeing you as we honor Langley Ushers and the next generation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
