Beloved Church, <\/strong>As we complete these 40 days of fasting and praying, we thank God for meeting us in prayer, repentance and surrender. In scripture, 40 days marked preparation and transformation\u2014as seen in the life of Jesus Christ (Matthew 4:1-2). What God has begun in us, He will continue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIs this not the fast that I have chosen..to break every yoke?\u201d \u2013 Isaiah 58:6<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let us not return to old patterns, but walk forward renewed, disciplined, and expectant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fast may be ending, but the fire must continue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are grateful for women, who have sacrificed and made a difference in our world!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CLOCKS WILL SPRING FORWARD NEXT SUNDAY! <\/strong> Daylight Savings Time is March 8. It begins at 2:00 A.M. that day. Don\u2019t forget to \u201cspring forward\u201d and set the clocks one hour ahead, or you may find yourself an hour late to everything, including church!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Announcements<\/strong>:
During Black History Month, we celebrated our leader, our beloved Pastor Cynthia Thomas for her 13 years of serving at Langley Avenue and her continued legacy.<\/strong> Her 30 years of service in ministry is remarkable and a gift from the Lord. Pastor you are both fruit of that history and seed for the future. Congratulations on receiving the esteem honor as Elder from the Illinois General Assembly of the Church of God.<\/strong> “The elders who direct the affairs of the church well are worthy of double honor” – 1 Timothy 5:17. Today, we honor the honor bestowed.

New Members Graduation<\/strong>: Last Sunday, we congratulated all who participated in our New Members recent class. The Ceremony of Class Completion<\/em> was held during morning worship service. Congratulations to all who successfully completed the class. Congratulations also to Rev. Evelyn Tolliver, Pastor Mario & Min. Michelle Jenkins for serving as instructors for the classes.

Thank you to everyone for celebrating Pastor Mario Jenkins Birthday. Let\u2019s continue to pray and wish him a year full of good health, love, unspeakable joy and the blessings from the Lord.<\/strong>
