Thank you!<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_7903\"><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Reflections:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In March 1980, President Jimmy Carter issued the first Presidential Proclamation declaring <em>Women\u2019s History Week<\/em> to align with\u00a0International Women\u2019s Day\u00a0(March 8th) which has been recognized across the world since March 1911. The following year, on August 4, 1981, the U.S. Congress established <em>Women\u2019s History Week<\/em> as a federally recognized commemoration of the accomplishments, perspectives, and experiences of women in the United States. \u00a0This week became a month-long celebration in 1987 when Congress passed\u00a0Public Law 100-9\u00a0and then passed subsequent resolutions requesting that the U.S. President make an annual declaration. We hope these messages will inspire and uplift you throughout this month and year!<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.<\/em>\u201d\u00a0 <em>\u2014<strong>Maya Angelou<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved.<\/em>\u201d <em>&#8211;<strong>-Helen Keller<\/strong><\/em><strong>\u00a0****<\/strong><\/p>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<p>&#8220;<em>Women belong in all places where decisions are being made. \u2026 It shouldn&#8217;t be that women are the exception.<\/em>&#8220;&#8211;\u00a0<strong>Ruth Bader Ginsburg<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>There is no limit to what we, as women, can accomplish.<\/em>&#8220;<em> &#8212;<strong>Michelle Obama<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>Women are leaders everywhere you look\u2014from the CEO who runs a Fortune 500 company to the housewife who raises her children and heads her household. Our country was built by strong women, and we will continue to break down walls and defy stereotypes.<\/em>&#8221;\u00a0<strong>&#8212;Nancy Pelosi *****<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"gs\">\n<div class=\"\">\n<div id=\":n3\" class=\"ii gt\">\n<div id=\":nf\" class=\"a3s aiL \">\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<p><b>Facing Trials with Grace<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Proverbs 31:25-26 says: &#8220;Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.&#8221; Women are known to take care of their families and loved ones. They speak wisdom to all who will listen. Women do this with dignity and grace. They are not afraid to step out on faith. Women have had some phenomenal female leaders to follow. Although there are many, we will focus on just a few each week.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDo one thing every day that scares you,\u201d wrote\u00a0<strong>Eleanor Roosevelt\u00a0<\/strong><b>(1884 \u2013 1962).<\/b>\u00a0She had a lot to choose from, as her life was full of challenges. At a young age, Eleanor lost both of her parents and brother, and later was saddled with a slew of personal difficulties. As the longest serving First Lady of the United States from 1933 to 1945, she was also one of the most public, often delivering Franklin\u2019s speeches, holding press conferences and appearing at campaign events, especially after he was paralyzed in 1921.\u00a0 An outspoken force in the White House, Eleanor used all fingers of the media\u2014radio,\u00a0magazines, newspapers\u2014to disseminate her opinions on certain issues, especially concerning civil rights and the role of women in the workplace.
