\"\"Mother’s Day<\/strong> is a celebration honoring the mother of the family, as well as motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of mothers in society. For Langley Ave Church of God and its community we are \"\"honoring two Women of God who serve faithfully for the kingdom.<\/p>\n

The honorees for 2021 are<\/strong> Sis. Jessye G. Payne<\/strong> and Sis. Anita A. Jackson<\/strong>. These extraordinary Women of God have continued to live out the virtues of a woman found in Proverbs 31.<\/p>\n

\"\"Today, we celebrate you for your wisdom, honor, strength, kindness, as prayer warriors, fear of the Lord, loving, creativity, dignity, fashionista, provider, noble, boldness, visionaries, joy, mentors and leadership.<\/p>\n

Thank you for serving in various ministries in the church that have included the Usher Board, Project Care and the Special Events Committee.\u00a0 Your service for more than 55 years has been a God send and essential ministries for our church family and the community.<\/p>\n

Words of Encouragement
\n<\/u><\/strong>Keep your love for one another at full strength, because love covers a multitude of sins. -1 Peter 4:8<\/strong><\/p>\n

How happy is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in His ways! You will be happy, and it will go well for you\u2026 You\u2026will see your children\u2019s children. -Psalms 128:1-2, 5-6<\/strong><\/p>\n

As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you.\u00a0\u2013 Isaiah 66:13<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"And Mary said: \u201cMy soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant. From now on all generations will call me blessed.\u201d \u2013 Luke 1:46-48<\/strong><\/p>\n

I can do all things through him who strengthens me.\u00a0\u2013 Philippians 4:13<\/strong><\/p>\n

Do all things without grumbling or questioning, that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world. \u2013 Philippians 2:14-15<\/strong><\/p>\n

Knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ. \u2013\u00a0Colossians 3:24<\/strong><\/p>\n
