Reflection: Believing God*
\n<\/strong>Children blindly believe what their parents say. When parents tell their kids Santa Claus will bring them gifts, they believe it. Although they may have visited Santa in the mall, they have never seen him in their home on Christmas Eve. Yet they still believe, simply because their parents, whom they trust, say so.
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Abraham had not seen God when he received this promise, but he believed what God said. Today’s passage tells us that all who have faith will be credited as righteous and children of Abraham, simply because we believe what our ancestors have believed for many years—God is who he says he is.<\/p>\n

It can be easy to believe what the world tells us and forsake God, dismissing him as some fairy tale. Yet, when we hold unswervingly to our faith, we will be declared righteous in God’s sight. And we will be blessed because of it.<\/p>\n

Do you believe God is real?\u00a0 What would it take for you to increase your faith?\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>Read Galatians 3:6-14.<\/p>\n
