Reflection: Ushering is a ministry that is more than seating a member or taking up a collection. It is a ministry of helping. 1 Corinthians 12:28 states, “And God has placed in the church first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, of helping, of guidance, and of different kinds of tongues.”  This group is important to the kingdom. What can we learn from ushers? As we reflect on our Usher Board’s 50 Year Celebration, think about how you serve others.

Psalm 84:10 (NIV)
Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere;
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.

Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people,
