What We Believe In

  • The church is a divinely called and redeemed body of baptized believers. A spiritual institution, God is her architect, Jesus her builder, and the Holy Spirit her overseer.  Matthew 16:18, 1 Corinthians 12:18, 1 Peter 2:9

  • The Bible is the inspired word of God, the supreme guide in all matters of belief and conduct. In it God reveals his will for man in all areas of life; it will be the means by which men will be judged in the last day.  2 Timothy 3:16, Matthew 12:36-37

  • Jesus Christ is the ultimate source of salvation for all men. He liberates from the bondage of sin and calls men to the freedom of truth and righteousness. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life for all men.  Matthew 1:21, Luke 9:56, 1 Timothy 2:3-4, John 14:6

  • Repentance is the means whereby men turn to God and are saved by grace through faith. Conversion, cleansing, and acceptance are operations of God’s grace but are the result of an act of will by man, that of choosing to accept God’s gracious offer of forgiveness through the atoning blood of Jesus Christ.  Acts 2:38-39, 3:19; Ephesians 2:4-8, Colossians 1:13-14, 2 Peter 3:9
