World Kindness Day* – November 13th: Now more than ever, we need to celebrate World Kindness Day on November 13th. World Kindness Day does not have a single, fixed theme, but its overarching message is to promote goodwill and global unity by encouraging acts of kindness, regardless of race, religion, or culture. Recent years have focused on themes like the importance of kindness in global well-being, youth development, empathy, and making kindness the norm in our daily lives at school, home, and work.
World Kindness Day is an annual observance held on November 13th to promote kindness, compassion, and empathy globally. It was introduced in 1998 by the World Kindness Movement, and encourages both large and small acts of kindness in communities.
- Purpose: The day highlights the power of kindness and the common thread of goodwill that binds people together. It aims to inspire individuals and nations to create a kinder world.
- Activities: You can celebrate by performing random acts of kindness, checking in on a neighbor, making a donation, volunteering, or simply pausing to reflect on the importance of kindness. Many schools and organizations also have specific activities like “kindness chains” or “kindness rocks”.
- Origin: The observance was established in 1998 by the World Kindness Movement, a coalition of non-governmental organizations focused on kindness from various countries.

Election Day, Tuesday, November 4, 2025. There is no statewide voting scheduled in Illinois this day. Illinois holds its major general elections in November of even-numbered years. While there will be no federal or state elections, some local units of government have specific filing deadlines around that time. You can, however, still participate in prayer. ALL elections are crucial these days. It is our prayer that God will touch the hearts and minds of ALL who will vote on Tuesday. Now, more than ever, we must be very strategic in our voting selections.**

Mass Blackout, November 25th – December 2nd. This is anticipated to be the largest economic blackout protest in U.S. History! Prepare now for the moment…NO work (if you can abstain); No spending; No restaurants; No projects; No events; No Restaurants; No backing out!! To prevent “spike spending” before and after the blackout, we are asked that all participants purchase goods needed from community-owned stores and markets leading up to and after the dates.
