Reflection:
God’s Everlasting Love*
I enjoy spending time in my flower garden during spring and summer. Each day I gather my tools and retreat to the garden where I plant flowers, add fertilizer, and provide adequate water. The work is tedious and time-consuming, but my reward comes later when the garden is filled with budding flowers of various colors, shapes, sizes, and fragrances. Nothing helps me to relax more than sitting in my garden and enjoying the beauty that surrounds me, even as I recognize that the blooming season will end soon and each flower will wither and die.
Like flowers, our lives on earth are fleeting, but God’s divine love for his children will never end. No matter what circumstances come our way, we can rest confidently in knowing that our heavenly Father loves us and that he will sustain us during this life and throughout eternity. God’s love will never fail.
How has God’s love proven faithful to you?
Stay prayerful and read the following daily:
Psalm 103:17 (NIV) – “From everlasting to everlasting the Lord’s love is with those who fear him.”
Psalm 34:8 (NIV) – “Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.”
Isaiah 26:8 (NIV) – “Yes, Lord, walking in the way of your laws, we wait for you; your name and renown are the desire of our hearts..”
