Baptism Service – On Sunday November 20th, our members witnessed the baptism of three candidates. Baptism is an ordinance of the Lord Jesus, obligatory upon every believer, wherein he/she is immersed in water in the name of the Father, and the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, as a sign of fellowship with the death and resurrection of Christ, of remission of sins, and of giving one’s self up to God, to live and walk in newness of life. Congratulations to Angel Gilmore, Ariel Gilmore, & Dorothy Tucker. Galatians 3:27 reads: “For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.” Your Langley Church Family will continue to keep you lifted in prayer as you begin your walk fully clothed in Christ! May the Lord provide guidance and loving care to each of you at every step of your life.
The Jan’s “Just One Coat Initiative” was a huge success thanks to the Langley Women’s Ministry and all who contributed to the coat drive. THANKS TO ALL who participated. Special thanks to Sis Jan Nelson, who initiated the drive and Deaconess Nathelda McGhee, who helped to organize the event. The mission was to provide a winter coat with matching gloves, scarf and hat to thirty-one women at a local shelter. The Women’s Ministry far exceeded their goal of 31 coats, collecting 58 coats in total. To God Be The Glory. Fifty-eight women will be warmer this winter because of Sis. Jan Nelson and her vision to share coats with those in need.
