Reflection: God’s Marvelous Grace***
By believing that Jesus is the perfect solution for our imperfection, we suddenly do become perfect in God’s eyes! We do not have to do anything more than to believe in Christ Jesus, because whatever else you can think of to earn salvation has already been done by Him.

Grace is defined perhaps most clearly and powerfully in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” As the old hymn says, “God’s grace brings pardon and cleansing. It is greater than all our sin. This marvelous grace brings abundant peace. We stop striving to “purchase” heaven when we know the work is done for us.

What difference has God’s grace made in your life? Read Romans 1:1-7.

The Fourth of July—also known as Independence Day or July 4th—has been a federal holiday in the United States since 1941, but the tradition of Independence Day celebrations goes back to the 18th century and the American Revolution. On July 2nd, 1776, the Continental Congress voted in favor of independence, and two days later delegates from the 13 colonies adopted the Declaration of Independence, a historic document drafted by Thomas Jefferson. From 1776 to the present day, July 4th has been celebrated as the birth of American independence, with festivities ranging from fireworks, parades and concerts to more casual family gatherings and barbecues. The Fourth of July 2021 is on Sunday, July 4, 2021; the federal holiday will be observed on Monday, July 5, 2021.

Stay prayerful and read the following daily:
Psalm 119:45 (NIV) –
I will walk about in freedom, for I have sought out your precepts.
1 Peter 2:16 (ESV) –
Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God.
John 8:32 (ESV) –
And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.
John 8:36 (ESV) –
So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
