Prayer Focus: The prayer focus for the month of August is the following: 1. The opening of schools; 2. The elimination of COVID-19; and 3. A prayer against the violence in Chicago. “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7). Join us as we focus, together, on these requests.
Tithes & Offerings: At this time, we are asking that you give your tithes and offerings through Bill Pay only. Please do not mail or drop off your tithes and/or offering. Bill Pay can be set up through your bank (please call, go online, or visit your bank to establish this payment system). Thank you!

Reflection: Surrendering All***
In order to fully live for Jesus, I (we) have to surrender all so God can reign in me (us). While I’ve never risked my life the sake of Christ, he may call me to risk my reputation and prestige. Will I share my faith boldly despite ridicule? Will I stand up for what I believe, even if it costs my family and friends?
When I focus on myself, I grow timid and insecure. But God has called me to so much more–to surrender all for the greatest cause the world has ever known. Whatever I might lose or endure today cannot compare to all I have in Christ and an eternity spent with him.
What cross is Christ asking you to bear for the gospel’s sake? Read Mark 8:31-37.
Stay prayerful and read the following daily:
Proverbs 16:3 – “Commit your works to the Lord and your plans will be established.”
Job 22:21 – “Yield now and be at peace with Him; Thereby good will come to you.”
James 4:7 – “Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”
Galatians 5:25 -“If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.”
